Throughout the photometric reduction process, Phoranso utilizes a fixed-name Memory folder to store intermediate files. These files allow users to resume photometry for one or more Science folders at any moment without the need for Phoranso to reprocess images that have already undergone the photometric pipeline.

To clean the photometry memory, follow these steps:

  1. Select Clean photometric memory from the Photometry menu to open the corresponding dialog box.

  1. Click the button with three dots (...) to choose the folder with Science images from which you want to delete the corresponding Memory folders.

  1. Click Clean to initiate the removal of all Memory folders belonging to the Science images folder.

  1. Once completed, a confirmation dialog box will be displayed.

If you restart Photometry after cleaning the Memory, Phoranso will process each image from scratch.

IMPORTANT: Adding ID Cards after Photometry completion

If photometry has already been completed for a Science folder, and you later add one or more new ID Cards to Phoranso for the same field of view:

  • These new ID Cards are not part of the existing photometric memory for that Science folder.
  • As a result, Phoranso will not automatically process the new stars in previously analyzed images

To ensure the new ID Cards are photometrically processed, you must perform a Clean photometric memory for that Science folder. This forces Phoranso to reprocess all images, now including the newly added ID Cards.

IMPORTANT: Modifying ID Cards after Photometry completion

If photometry has already been completed for a Science folder, and you later modify one or more ID Cards - for example, by adding or removing Ref, Check, or Comp stars for the same field of view, Phoranso will automatically detect these changes and reprocess all affected images, ensuring the modified ID Cards are properly included in the photometric analysis.
